FAQs
What is naturopathic medicine and how does it work?
1
Naturopathic medicine is a form of healthcare that focuses on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness rather than only managing symptoms. Naturopathic doctors use a combination of modern medical science and natural therapies to support the body’s ability to heal.
Treatment plans are individualized and may include tailored nutrition and lifestyle counselling, botanical medicine, targeted supplements for your body’s needs, and other evidence-informed therapies.
The goal is to better understand your holistic health, improve symptoms, support long-term health and prevent future disease by improving the foundations of your health and the underlying factors that contribute to your symptoms.

Many patients work with both their medical doctor and naturopathic doctor to create a comprehensive approach to their health. When appropriate, collaborative care can be coordinated to ensure treatments work safely together.
Yes! Virtual appointments are available for all patients in Ontario.
Virtual visits allow us to review your health concerns, discuss treatment plans, and provide guidance just as we would in an in-person consultation.
Appointment lengths vary depending on the visit type:
Initial visit: up to 90 minutes
Second Visit with Lab Review: 60 minutes
Follow-up visits: 30-45 minutes

How much does an appointment cost?
The number of visits depends entirely on your health goals, the complexity of your concerns, response to treatments, and how much accountability and support you’d like along the way.
Your treatment plan and recommended follow-up schedule will be discussed during your initial visit.
